Youth & Family Ministry

We offer a safe, engaging and a spiritually rich environment for our youth. The thrust of our entire youth and family ministry is to empower our youth and families to see and express the fullness of our Perfect Nature.

Purpose & Mission

All the classes, workshops, services, and fund-raising activities will be fun and empowering as we co-create a space for the revelation of full self expression and the uniqueness of our individualized God-Self.

About Us

We are a ministry that is filled to overflowing with devoted and trusted servants who hold the sacred space for each child's unfoldment of consciousness. We practice the Presence of God together through utilizing the inspiring and fun curriculum created by International Centers for Spiritual Living (ICSL), creating family outings and gatherings, and nurturing the expression of creativity through spiritual practice, music, and art.

Infants to Pre-K (Mighty Tots), Grades Kindergarten to 4th Grade (Bright Lights), Grades 5th to 8th (Tweens) meet every Sunday at 9:00am during the Sunday Service. Check in at Costa Hall before the service. You are welcome to stay with your children until they feel comfortable in the classroom.

Infants and Toddlers "Mighty Tots"
We create a space for the Mighty Tots that is safe, loving and affirming. All adults who care for Mighty Tots go through training on how to notice interests and empower little ones to play in a way that peaks what they are interested in. Training will include how to speak to children age 5 and under in an affirming way, not a punitive way. This training will be done at all levels of our program so that we work with our children and not against them. Of course there will be ways of working with children that are not participating or acting out. Generally reminders of the agreements they make at the beginning of each session.

Youth Ages 5-9 "Bright Lights"
2 Adults each class.
These classes will be affirmative and FUN, focusing on what is unique about each child. We will remind our youth every week that they are perfect and beautiful expressions of God. Each class will begin with a short affirming spiritual practice with the intention of making a conscious connection with God as we understand God. We will focus on God as love in and through all people and all life. The classes will be experiential, including exercises, some yoga stretching, and crafts using the ICSL curriculum that focus on the qualities of God as well as the new ICSL curriculum. At age 10 there will be an automatic graduation into the tweens with a special "ceremony/ ritual" as a form of passage into the next age group recognized by the community at large.

Youth Ages 9-12 "Tweens"
2 Adults each class/outings.
These classes will be affirmative, focusing on what is unique and reminding the youth every week that they are perfect and beautiful expressions of God. We will take the affirmation of their wholeness to the next level through “confirmation.” Each class will include an opportunity for the child to speak/confirm, e.g., "What is great about me?" (e.g. talented, beautiful, strong, smart, artistic, unique etc.). Each class will begin with a short affirming spiritual practice with the intention of making a conscious connection with God as we understand God. We will focus on God as love in and through all people and all life. The classes will be experiential, including exercises, some yoga stretching, and crafts using the ICSL new curriculum filled with exciting empowering workshops.

During the holiday season we have a special program for tweens and teens to introduce general concepts and practices of other major religions, including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and Islamic and Native American practice. The tweens will have a monthly fun filled empower-outing and/or community service opportunity selected by the tweens. We will have quarterly day camps and, or overnight "lock-ins." The tweens will have a rites of passage ceremony to move into the teen group at age thirteen. The entire spiritual community will be a part of the ceremony and they will be able to pick a member of the community as a mentor for their teen years. (Once the young adults program is up and running I think we may set it up for them to pick a young adult as mentor.) Also the new teen will have an opportunity to choose a "bright light" who has not become a tween yet to mentor them while they are tweens (like a big brother/sister).
