“The Last of Leaves” 01.10.2021

Michael Curcuru, RScP

Ernest Holmes says this of leaves: “The trees do not lack for leaves, nor do the flowers fail to bloom. We are to look for God in each other and love this God, forgetting all else. The Power which creates and sustains everything is now creating everything necessary for my happiness.

My memory of leaves, from snowy winter’s past in Connecticut, recalls, the image of the one last, and lone leaf on a tree. Long after the other leaves had fallen from our maple tree out front, there was always one last leaf, which hung on, until after the first snow had fallen, refusing to let go.

It reminds me, of how I at times, up until now, hang on to old thoughts, old habits, old belief systems, which have long outgrown their usefulness, their purpose, their service to me. For a new blossom to grow, that last leaf must let go. As we must let go of that which no longer serves us.

As we do we come into a fuller expression of Divine Freedom Ernest Holmes says this, “The Divine Plan is one of Freedom. The inherent nature of man is ever seeking to express itself in terms of freedom because freedom is the birthright of every living soul.

This week I invite us to let go of The Last of Our Leaves of old thoughts, habits, belief systems. And to turn over a New Leaf of possibility and thereby come to know a greater expression of Divine Freedom. A greater expression of Divine Freedom in perfect alignment with the seasons of our soul, as one with the seasons of our life.

Beloveds all. Be Well. Stay safe. Namaste.
