What happened to Ruff Ruffman? ›

The show was going to have a sixth season, but it ended because of lack of funding. However, it aired reruns on the PBS Kids 24/7 channel but the channel stopped airing episodes overtime. A number of spinoffs were created and they also serve as continuations in a way.

Part game show, part reality TV, and part spoof, Fetch! is a Daytime Emmy award winning kids show that features real kids, real challenges, real science, and an unreal host named Ruff Ruffman (yes, he's an animated dog!)

In Survival mode, penguins have a health bar and must survive as long as they can by repeatedly smashing fruit. Anvils and bombs occasionally come as obstacles which the player must avoid; later in the game, they may also bounce. Hitting an obstacle or landing on the conveyor belt makes the player lose a bit of health.

Blanche is a cat who works at a diner, and she needs your help to fill all the smoothie orders. Help by tossing food onto the conveyor belt to make a group of three or more of the same food. When you do, the group will disappear. When you use all the ingredients on the conveyor belt, you move up a level!

Of all the Ruffman family members, Ruff, Scruff and Bluff are the only three known members whose names rhyme with each other. Ruff's love of food is probably why he is seen overweight (as do other Ruffman family members). He also wears glasses due to astigmatism.

Although a sixth season was planned for early 2011, with auditions taking place in January 2010, WGBH announced on June 14, 2010, that due to a lack of funding, the series would end. It previously aired reruns on the 24 hour PBS Kids Channel from January 16, 2017 until November 20, 2018.

Princess Blossom Pepper Doodle Von Yum Yum, or simply just Blossom, is a selectively mute black cat who is Ruff's boss, (not the boss of the network, but the boss of Ruff's show) . She first appeared in the start of Season 2, where she introduced herself as Ruff's intern.

However, Dash still appeared in the familiar PBS Kids logo, until 2022 when they unveiled a new logo; he did make a surprising return in a Word of the Week promo. The song Brothers and Sisters which they appear in reinforces that they are siblings.
