Jerry McFarland

The son of singer/recording artist Jerry Farr, Jerry Wayne McFarland has played professionally for over 45 years.

Though Texas born and firmly rooted in the Austin storytelling tradition, Jerry calls Southern California his home.

Always greeted to enthusiastic audiences, Jerry performs both as a soloist or with his band.

Through much of the 1970’s and 80’s Jerry cowrote with partner Roy Freeland (songs covered by Manilow, Bill Medley, Michael Johnson, Bill LaBounty, Laura Branigan et al).Jerry and Roy’s compositions were recorded and published through Warner Tamerlane Publishing and Screen Gems Music Corporation. Roy (aka Roy Freirich) has gone on to become a successful novelist/screenwriter for Sony Pictures among others.

Recently Jerry completed 10 song CD of original compositions , VOICES FROM the ATTIC. VOICES has been released on the Randolf Productions label, and can be found on iTunes, Amazon and other popular music sites.

As a multi instrumentalist and vocalist Jerry has worked with many very special musicians. Among them Bill Medley of the famed Righteous Brothers, recognized Nashville singer songwriter Jeff Pearson, Jeri Lynne, Martin Headman, Frank Cotinola (Jose Feliciano), Richard Bredice (Missiles of October), Tim Lee (Bill Medley Righteous Brothers Band), and Greg Leisz (Jackson Browne…too many to name!!!). Many of these great players can be heard on Jerry’s most recent CD, VOICES FROM the ATTIC.

Jerry has performed at hundreds of Southern California venues including the world famous Troubadour, Hollywood Bowl and Anaheim Stadium.Jerry currently performs at the beautiful Dove Canyon Country Club and Bourbon Street Bar in Old Towne Fullerton, California.
